Magnetic drive pumps are a reliable, economical and safe pumping solution for refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, refrigeration plants, engineered heating and cooling systems, liquid gas plants, power plants, solar thermal fields, tank farm installations, pharmaceutical industries and fiber plants, etc. A wide range of sizes covers a broad range of performance requirements. Low NPSHr (down to 1.6 feet) and self-priming capability make this pump ideal for loading and unloading applications.
"Barrel" construction, with back inserted volute rings, assures proper hydraulic alignment and long wear ring life. Available from 1 to 8 stages. "Barrel" construction eliminates "pancake" construction with multiple sealing surfaces and tie rods common to many of our competitors.
A first stage inducer minimizes NPSHr which makes side channel pumps ideal for pumping condensate and other low NPSHr applications.
Field assembly of the product lubricated bearing assembly is easily accomplished without special tools or fixtures. Available bearing materials include: Silicon Carbide (SiC), Tungsten Carbide (TC) and Metallized Carbon depending on the application. Elastic rings reduce the sleeve bearing and thrust bearing loads to a minimum, guaranteeing many years of maintenance-free operation.
The ellipsoidal rear casing shell is manufactured from one single piece of metal with no welding required. Standard construction is Hastelloy® C276 for pressures up to 50 bar. Titanium is available when higher pressure ratings and/or increased efficiency are required.
High power, rare earth magnetic elements are mechanically locked into the inner and outer magnet drive assemblies. The magnets can be operated at liquid temperatures of up to 572°F (300 °C) without external cooling.
