Magnetic drive pumps are a safe economical solution for pumping aggressive, explosive or toxic liquids including hydrocarbons, heat transfer fluids, etc., suitable for a variety of applications including, reverse osmosis systems, cooling circulation and sampling applications in refineries. An integral by-pass valve protects against costly and dangerous system over-pressurization. The ellipsoidal rear casing containment shell is formed from of one single piece of 316 stainless steel or alloy C with no welds. Titanium is available as an upgrade when higher pressure ratings and/or increased wire to water electrical efficiency is required. High power rare earth magnet segments are mechanically locked into the inner and outer magnet drive assemblies. The magnets can be operated in temperatures up to 392F (200C) without requiring external cooling.
